Episode 12 out now! 🌊 🎥 Sailing Sardinia to Tunisia to close out our very first season. https://youtu.be/CQzsAhNT9K4?si=BQbaY0-C5STt0-ne After two weeks of solo sailing down Sardinia’s rugged west coast, Sam reunites with Vika in Cagliari for one last taste of Italy before we check Kaia — our Lagoon 440 catamaran — out of Europe and make our way to Tunisia, Africa! With our three sailing dogs back onboard, we set off on our longest passage yet: 40 hours across the Mediterranean, two nights at sea, fiery sunsets, star-filled skies, and the steady rhythm of open water carrying us towards a brand new continent. Halfway along the Tunisian coast, we tried to drop anchor for a short rest — only to be told by the coastguard that anchoring wasn’t allowed. Tired but determined, we pushed on through a second night passage before finally reaching Monastir Marina. At last, Kaia is safely tied up in her new winter berth in Tunisia, where we begin life as full-time liveaboards in North Africa. Season One of Sailing Sacred Seas may be over, but this is only the beginning — the adventure continues from our new home in Tunisia! Sometimes you shouldn't let a music nerd near a recording setup and all the instruments he wants. I am not a particularly good audio engineer, singer, trumpet player or percussionist, but I still have fun doing this and will probably keep adding on.
