Race One of the SLYC two day event Strangford Lough got under way under cloudy skies with a moderate breeze GTR was ducking and weaving to lock up the pin end of the line on port tack. With two boats choosing to duck behind them to avoid getting pushed the wrong side of the pin there was a third that could caught out and had to tack around to start correctly. With the windward position secured they could put the bow down and accelerate over the boats to leward.. Actuellement au large du Brésil, François Gabart, toujours en tête de la flotte à bord de MACIF, fait route vers l'équateur. Le Vendée Globe 2012 est la course autour du monde en solitaire sans escale et sans assistance qui passe par les trois caps, le Cap de Bonne Espérance, le Cap Leeuwin et le Cap Horn. Le départ de la course est donné des Sables d'Olonne tous les quatre ans.
