While we already liked the Elite 7 with DownScan thanks to its large seven-inch screen and robust construction (see Sonar Smack-Down), Lowrance has improved the unit by adding limited CHIRP abilities. This seems to be Lowrance's answer to Raymarine's Dragonfly, which is another form of "CHIRP light." Using the Zenmuse Z30 to do a line of sight assessment for doing antenna pointing before erecting a 15m antenna mount. The zoom capability is amazing, the tents in the final shot were 6.5km as the crow flies from where we were flying the drone. If you're wondering what the red arrow is, it's the location the other team placed their antenna, behind the tree! Clearly it was a bad placement, and with the photos we took we could show them that.
