I’ve had severe allergic reactions to bee stings—so when I heard fake dragonflies might ward them off, I ordered six off Amazon. They’re going up on my sailboat as a kind of quirky defense system. Ira took flight for a moment after being launched from her seat. Thankfully she landed in the boat, and thankfully her head was okay! It was a really hard beat out the gate and over the San Francisco bar. This place is no joke when it's full-on! Can you imagine what it would have been like when the current was in full flood just a few hours before!?
