Omiš is the center of Omiš Riviera – a small town nestled on the mouth of river Cetina between Makarska and Split on the mainland. Located a short 35-minute drive away from Split, Omis is a must-visit destination if you're heading to the Dalmatian coast! If you've set out on an adventure this summer, then our top things to do in Omiš must be on your list! 1. Discover the Fortress of Mirabella - there are two fortresses located in Omis, with Mirabella being the most accessible. Each fortress has impressive views out across the sea and was once used as a defensive fortress from invaders. 2. Visit the Parish Church of St. Michael and discover the impressive architecture 3. Walk through the Eastern Town Doors - your entrance to the city! 4. Buy fresh fruit and vegetables at the Poljica Market 5. Get sandy at Punta Beach; a large sandy beach located near the heart of the town 6. See where the river meets the sea at the Cetina River Estuary For a complete guide on what to do and see in Omis, check out our Destination Guide: https://www.sail-croatia.com/set-sail/destination/omis

We are selling Taiga, our home for the last 13 years. Taiga is a high performance Catana catamaran designed by Lock Crowther and built in the Catana yard in France in 1997 in very good condition. This is the ocean-going model with daggerboards for sprightly upwind performance and the only Catana with a custom built, protected inside steering station. She comes complete with all stores, full complement of tools, spares, and misc dive gear. Taiga is a very comfortable liveaboard with a roomy, well thought-out galley-up design handy to the big cockpit table. The master cabin and both guest cabins have queen beds. The two heads are electric and each have a dedicated shower. Her solar array provides plenty of power. Taiga has been carefully maintained and is ready to continue cruising by just moving aboard. We are currently in Martinique, planning to head to Sint Maarten next week. We hate to give up this lovely catamaran and fabulous lifestyle, but it’s time for us to change gears. https://www.catamaransite.com/catamarans-for-sale/catana-44

On the way upwind to the second mark of the annual Quoile Yacht Club Regatta a couple of the Glenn fleet were locked in close battle. The J109 Going to Red slipped by both of then to leeward with the rear camera picking up a close tussle between the Glen's. We have a lot to thank Alfred Mylne for and are luck to have so many of the Glen class which were designed and built in the 1940's on the lough and racing regularly. The bottom up boats crew always have a smile on their faces when we glide by some of these timeless beauties.
