Originally from the far east, and sometimes called the Java apple the wax apple can now also be found in the Caribbean. It’s a delicious fruit that is very easy to cut and a great tropical treat!

Fellow GFC Camper owners: I found some great, easy-to-install latch covers over on Etsy. I also squirted a bit of silicone grease down into the spring mechanism of my latches. So far, there have been no problems opening the latches in icy, cold, below-zero Canadian weather. While living in a Trinidadian shipyard we saw a stray puppy, running around late at night avoiding people and eating trash. After a few nights of getting her used to us we took her in, fostering her for adoption and giving her the name Chi Chi. The transformation was incredible! We had her treated for worms, spayed, fattened her up and did some training, and a few months later she was adopted into a new home. #doglife #rescuedogs
