🪢 Sunday Boat Tip [7/52] 🪢 Our gas oven only has heating from below, and when first moving onboard cooking in it was a real struggle! The food got badly burnt on the underside and was often undercooked on the topside, resulting in really bad cooking 🧑🍳 But since we got this advice during our first winter as liveaboards our cooking game has improved so much! So, now it’s time for us to pass the knowledge forward. If you have a gas oven with no top heating, you must try this! On pensait avancer sur le chantier… jusqu’à découvrir que les appareillages électriques n’avaient aucun boîtier étanche. Résultat : corrosion avancée à cause de l’humidité et de l’environnement marin. Sur un bateau, surtout en milieu salin, les appareillages devraient être montés avec des boîtiers adaptés et une protection conforme aux règles de l’art. On a donc : • fabriqué un outil spécifique pour élargir les cloches existantes • installé des boîtiers étanches adaptés • remplacé les appareillages par du matériel plus fiable 👉 Encore une journée de chantier non prévue… mais nécessaire pour sécuriser Horizon. #refit #electricite #catamaran #bateau #chantier #voile #sailinglife #boatprojects #lagoon42 #sailinghorizon
