Monaco dahling? I’d rather be sailing! In our latest episode, having sailed further east from Antibes, we waited for a weather window to cross back to Corsica and found ourselves in Monaco - known the world over as the playground of the rich and famous. We dipped our toes into this tiny but exclusive and expensive country and watched the weather. Instead of the hoped for northerlies to blow us across to Corsica, the forecast grew into a far reaching mistral and the marina had no space for us to stay! After finding what we hoped would be a protected anchorage we crossed our fingers…. Heading down the ICW just north of Palm beach, looking for a good spot to drop anchor. Found a good spot referred to as Conch Bar. Ten feet of water with excellent protection all around. Its a small little cut out circled by multi million dollar houses all around. They paid five to ten million for the pleasure of these views. Me? I get to enjoy them for free! Splash down the anchor and enjoy a little bit of the good life coastal sailing Florida. Having a little fun with slo-mo videography. First time using a couple tricks I learned recently on good ole YouTube.
