A jury has ordered former President Donald Trump to pay $83.3 million in damages to E. Jean Carroll, a writer who accused him of sexual assault and defamation[. The award includes $65 million in punitive damages and $18.3 million in compensatory damages. The jury found that Trump acted with malice and awarded the damages to stop him from continuing to attack Carroll. Trump has stated that he will appeal the verdict. #bbcnews
