Black Jack and Wild Oats XI both hit the water shaping up for the first race since their respective modifications. The CYCA Cabbage Tree Island Race will be held on Friday, November 8 with a record fleet heading north up to Cabbage Tree Island just off the northern entry to Port Stephens. With InfoTrack also entered in the race, we will see three of the five supermaxi yachts competing in the record fleet of 67 entries for this leadup race to the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.

This is a short video with an impression of the workshop that I gave on the 'ATD International Conference and Expo' at 22. Mai 2023 in San Diego. ATD is the American Association for Trainers, the largest worldwide with 300.000 members. For 80 years now, they organize every year a 4 day conference in a city in the USA. I've been a speaker 3 times before and now is the 4th time. The topic that I presented was about Online Training, because I am a 100% online trainer now at the catamaran. This E-book is also translated in English, titled '100 online working methods for online training'. The training was a success! There was room for 130 participants and about 300 people showed up, so extra chairs were ordered, or people had to sit on the ground or lean against the walls :). I used a bingo card and 10 online tips, also telling about the fact that I train on a catamaran. It was a practical session, it was nice that the session was appreciated by other international trainers!

The first week of the season ending frosties regatta a strangford lough yacht club got of the a lively start with 15 to 25 knots keeping the sailor busy. J109 Going to Red was blasting across the bottom reach when the out core of the tack line broke. The dynemma core shot forward with the tack line rising about 6 meters before the core locked in tight in the clutch. The team kept calm and kept the kite flying while they dropped the jib before cutting the rope to drop the kit. Another example why you always need a sharp knife handy while racing to ensure that you can get out of any trouble where ropes get locked in and will not run. The crew did a great job of staying calm before racing on to victory in race 1.
