After sailing to Newfoundland’s remote south coast, we established a wilderness base camp beneath the Nuddick and began exploring a granite wall that, as far as anyone knows, has never been climbed. This remote Newfoundland climbing expedition has taken months of planning, multiple gear hauls through difficult terrain, and countless miles aboard our wooden sailboat, Arabella.
