I do not like retirement homes. That may sound provocative, especially as aging societies rapidly build more of them. But after traveling across Japan’s longevity hotspots and researching healthy lifespan, I increasingly wonder whether separating generations may actually accelerate decline rather than slow it. The rudder broke off my Catalina 25 and did not feel like spending over a thousand dollars on a new one. I've had some ponderosa pine laying around in my garage, however I should have used marine grade plywood. I would have been easer and quicker to craft.
