MISCHIEF is the fabulous result of naval architect Ed Burnett and traditional boatbuilder John Raymond-Barker’s deeply informed research in creating an as near as possible replica of the 1906 Thomas Baker of Cardiff designed and built original Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter - internationally famous in the 1954 to 1968 ownership of mountaineer, explorer, voyager, and author H.W. https://www.sandemanyachtcompany.co.uk/yacht/672/MISCHIEF "Bill" Tilman. Since her 2008 launch at Bristol, MISCHIEF has been a much loved, far travelled, and well proven family cruiser in the the Mediterranean, on Spain’s Atlantic seaboard, the West Coast of Scotland, and more recently in the Westcountry of England.

HAVSÖRNEN is a very fine example of Scandinavian design and boat building from Tore Holm at the peak of his powers with the build supervised by him in his family yard. Well maintained by her present owner, including a major winter refit 2016-2017 in her last ownership; she has over the years excelled on the Mediterranean regatta circuit and has also proven herself a very capable cruising yacht. Her seaworthy hull provides good headroom below, and the interior finish is a delight. HAVSÖRNEN is coming back to our list very shortly; we raced her in St Tropez some 5 years ago and she is fun to sail; quick to accelerate and potentially a race winner in the Vintage Class…S&S Yawls watch out!? Designed by Fife of Fairlie, Scotland, and built by Nevins of City Island, New York -- yacht design and build pedigree doesn’t get much better. https://www.sandemanyachtcompany.co.uk/yacht/780/FIFI When Larchmont Yacht Club member Harry L. Maxwell decided to join the burgeoning mid-1920s Long Island Sound Universal Rule R-Class fleet, his Ulster-Scots ancestry took him to William Fife III for the design of FIFI and he had her built relatively locally by the perfectionist, Henry B. Nevins. During seven summers of hard class racing, and many more as a performance cruiser-racer that’s a lot of fun to sail, FIFI’s pedigree stood her in good stead. The inevitable later life deep restoration in current ownership means that FIFI enters her second century as strong if not stronger than her first, and as beautiful as ever.
