J109 Going to Red was tacking in close quarters to the shore shortly after the start of the harbour race of Volvo Cork week 2024. With the tide rushing into Cork Harbour it paid to stick to the right to get relief from the in rushing tide. There are a couple of close crosses as the majority of the fleet tried to maximise the relief they got. Kenny showed us how you can open a champagne bottle by running a knife up the shaft of the bottle. The cork and the actual end of the bottle launch somewhere. But in the end, the top of the bottle is broken off with no glass in the bottle. Pretty cool party trick.
