Experience Greenland and its wild nature on board our expedition vessel Valiente this summer! ⛵ The word kayak comes from the Greenlandic Inuit language and means "hunter’s boat." It was the Inuit who invented kayaks, and they have been used for more than 4,000 years. Early kayaks were made of driftwood, animal skin, and bones. The Eskimo Roll is a technique that helps you flip back up if you capsize. Would you like to give it a try? Are you ready for Greenland?

The full review of the M.9, the prototype of the M.10, is out! You can order it here: https://www.multihulls-world.com/review/motor/m9-m10-s-prototype-a-100-electric-powercat or read it for free if you are a Multihulls World subscriber. The M9 electric powercat - built in St Malo, Brittany, then assembled and completed in Caen, on France’s Channel coast - made its public debut in the Mediterranean. But what’s so special about this new model? Its two-sided solar-powered wings, that unfold when under way: the photovoltaic cells facing the sea thus capture the sun’s reflection from the surface of the water. In total, the solar installation is capable of producing 6 kWp, a considerable figure for a catamaran just over 30 feet in length. At 6 knots, range is unlimited - during the day, weather permitting. The second remarkable technological innovation is the car-like control interface. The on-board computer controls all the settings and manages the virtual anchor system: the motors are connected to the GPS position to “hold” the boat without the need to drop an anchor. A third point worthy of note: when folded, the solar wings, together with removable glass panels and canvas sections, transform the central part of the powercat into an enclosed space measuring 130 square feet (12 m²), called the deck cabin. The table in the saloon can be lowered, and cushions added, to create a double 4’7” (1.4 m) berth. The interior is cozy and include a galley. In the hulls, there are two cabins and a heads compartment. The foredeck is fitted with a trampoline, which is lighter than a rigid deck. At the stern, the yard has designed two bathing platforms. Builder: Millikan Boats/CN de la Passagère Architect: Vincent Labailly Yacht Design Length: 31’2” (9.5 m) Beam: 11’2” (3.4 m) Displacement: 5,500 lbs (2.5 t) Engines: 2 x 15 kW Blue Nav Batteries: 2 x 16 kWh Cruising speed: 9 knots Max. speed: 12 knots Cabins: 2 Berths: 6 #multihullsworld #yachting #multihull #cruising #bluewater #sailing #sailcruising #seatrial #boatreview #bluewatersailing #powercat #boat #boatlife #boating #sailingday #magazine #YouTube #tiktok #catamaran #trimaran @Millikan Boats #millikanboats #millikanm9 #electricboat #electriccatamaran #cannesyachtingfestival #forevergreen #foreverblue
