Geteilte iPads (shared iPads) mit verwalteten Apple-IDs können vom Nutzer nur entsperrt werden, wenn eine Verbindung über WLAN zum Internet besteht. Dazu lässt sich trotz Sperrbildschirm das Kontrollzentrum für die WLAN-Einstellungen öffnen: Entweder 1. durch Wischen von der rechten oberen Ecke oder 2. durch schnelles Doppeldrücken auf den Homebutton.
