A fellow diver on a recent liveaboard in the Maldives passed me this video of an amazing whale encounter with more dolphins than I can count. Book here : https://www.balireply.com/best-activity/ijen/ijen-blue-fire-trekking-from-bali/?date=2020-05-05 Many people fly to Bali to see its stunning beaches and have a relaxing vacation. But if you’re more of an adventurous traveler, it also offers some thrilling attractions, one of which is Ijen! It’s a volcano complex that emits mesmerizing blue flames due to ignited sulfuric gas that emerges from its cracks. For a hassle-free hike at Ijen, you can join this activity via Balireply and have everything prepared for your convenience! You’ll be picked up from your hotel, be accompanied by an experienced trekking guide, and have all the necessary fees and permits taken care of! All you have to do is bring your personal gears, meals, and be wowed by the blue fires once you reach the crater! A short stop at a nearby coffee plantation and waterfalls is also included so you can rest and relax after before heading home.
This is our road trip to Deans Blue Hole. We spent about 4 nights down in Long Island at Thompson Bay before we had to return to George Town in anticipation of a weather event coming with west winds. Suggested by another fellow cruiser while at Tiny's Bar and Grill, we rented a car from Seaside Car Rental. It was $75 for the day. Well worth the money, we had a blast. This is the first of several stops we made. It took about 45 minutes, perhaps a bit more, to get to Deans Blue Hole. At 663 feet deep, you can't really see much down below 20 feet or so. Further, the water seemed to be a little stirred up today from the waves of the Atlantic. That said, it was very cool to see. I can't imagine freediving something like that! #sailingcatamaran #boatlife #catamaran #travelvlog #digitalnomad #lifestyle #sailboats #sailing #cruising #offgrid #nomad #sail #boat #multihull #whileone #sailingwhileone #bigseas #lifeafter50 #sailinglife
