► Essai dans Multicoque Mag 219 : https://www.multicoques-mag.com/essais/catamaran/outremer-52-la-quintessence-du-catamaran-hauturier ► Pour ce nouveau 52, le chantier a tenu à s’entourer de l’expertise des architectes VPLP et de grands noms du design français (Patrick Le Quément, Darnet Design, Saguez & Partners), mais également du savoir-faire du chantier Gunboat (également membre du Groupe Grand Large Yachting), lequel a permis de réduire le poids de la structure tout en conservant une résistance à toute épreuve. Ceci a permis d’augmenter les surfaces vitrées et les ouvertures dans le catamaran. Dans le but de faciliter la maîtrise de l’Outremer 52, les manœuvres peuvent être ramenées dans le cockpit. A l’instar de l’Outremer 55, la barre à roue, positionnée à tribord, garantit un parfait contrôle du multicoque avec une visibilité exceptionnelle sur les voiles. Elle peut aussi se mettre en position basse dans le cockpit afin de se protéger du soleil ou par mauvais temps. Les deux barres franches restent opérationnelles à l’arrière des coques. A l’intérieur, on appréciera la banquette de veille face à la marche, les quatre ouvertures à l’avant du carré, et la baie vitrée XXL qui s’ouvre sur le cockpit. L’Outremer 52 se décline en trois finitions – Life, Nomad et Sportline. So many are talking to us about how to become eco-friendly sailors. My answer is, cleaning products! Sometimes these are provided by charter companies sometimes they're not. And it's a great way to take control and start being eco-friendly through the cleaning products that you're buying. I really like NatureSafe Marine. They're made here in Croatia by actually a friend of ours. They provide products like dishwashing soap, all-purpose spray, even hand soap. Because of course the runoff of all of those goes straight into the sea. The "Whiskey Plank" is the final plank required to complete the outer shell of a wooden hull. This is considered to be a major milestone in the construction of a wooden yacht. The whiskey plank for the 2nd hull of the LM46 is fastened (and celebrated!) here.
