Just after we decided yes to buy the yacht she went back in the water as we had no time to antifoul as my work soon finishes then we'll do what we need to do (part time of course as now I have to get a real job) including removing the deck, new galley, new head, new shower and a few other things...yippy, here comes 12 month's of work..! lifting by Blue HQ boat lifters down at fremantle....great guys and very helpful we definatly recommend them

Today I sailed home my new to me 1972 Bristol Carvel 22. I purchased for a great deal on eBay, if I told you how much you wouldn’t believe me so don’t even ask . Let’s just stay. It was an awesome deal. So I purchased her without ever looking at the cabin. I saw her from the shoreline, and I fell in love with this vintage sailboat. Now it’s time to start the motor for the very first time and head down the channel in East Greenwich Bay. Then it’s off to Narraganset Bay towards her new slip. After a wonderful 4 months, the Mira crew is off to Cape Town for about a week and then we cross the Atlantic! It is so bittersweet; we have made so many friends here that we will miss dearly, BUT that is one of the downsides to our new life.
