Day 11 of our Christmas calendar brings you into the forward head, a clever little space where you have everything you need. A rule of thumb on board a boat is that everything should have at least two functions. The faucet is a great example of that! 🌟 You use it for washing your hands, just like at home, but this one also turns into your shower head! The main difference from the aft head? Here, the shower and sink are combined, making the most of the limited space. Global Surveyor leaving A Coruña in Spain for Baiona, the last leg of the ultimate sailing adventure that started in Scotland. After six days at sea, Global Surveyor reached A Coruña in the Galicia region of northwest Spain on 26th October 2023, having completed the 735 NM passage across the legendary Bay of Biscay. Two days of rest and off she goes again ⛵️ @gowestsailing

We bought a canyoning harness before leaving Australia and it was still adjusted for Carolyn’s small size, so she was the one to try it first. The fourth mast step was too stiff to be opened so that’s as high as she climbed. We’ll need to carry some kind of persuader to open them, until they free up a bit. After that first climbing effort we had a second go in the fading light, with the two halyards again but also the winch this time. Much easier, for her! :-)
