Rose is learning to help out around the yacht, one job at a time! She started hovering at the top of the ladder whenever I was trying to get out so I’ve started passing her gear from the water so she can carefully grab it and set it down on the transom. She’s still figuring it out (some bites are better than others 😂), but the goal is to have her drop everything on the deck or in a bucket, maybe even working up to doing it on the tender too! Until then, she’s still earning her keep as first mate, head of security and our onboard wellness coach. Prefer to support the channel as a 1-off? We were able to find items at Hillside Food Supply at Long Island Bahamas that we were not able to find back at George Town. The market is very close to the Dinghy dock which is a private dock, but made graciously available to cruisers. Take a left on Queens Highway at the top of the street (Basil Street) and the market is on the right less than a 1/4 mile down the road. The variety at this food market is awesome. Perfect stop for provisioning going south. Long Islanad Bahamas is a really cool island and a ton to see.
