Care must be taken crossing the Wide Bay Bar at the southern end of Fraser Island. There are directional lights on both Fraser Island and Inskip Point which guide craft across the bar. J109 "Going to Red" beating to windward had a fine line to thread the gap between two other IRC 1 J-Boats during the first day of racing during Cork Week 2024.
