We are celebrating two massive milestones this weekend! Not only is it Memorial Day weekend, but it’s officially our 3-year anniversary as a sailing couple. To celebrate, we traded our usual dock for the historic, resilient shores of Galveston Beach, Texas. In this episode, we’re remembering the roots of the island and the holiday. From the solemn Civil War origins of Memorial Day to the Galveston Historic Pleasure Pier, this island is a monument to the human spirit. Of course, no trip to the coast is complete without savoring the lifestyle. We’re taking you along to our favorite local seafood grills right on the Seawall to enjoy some fresh Gulf catch, talk about what it really is like to slow down and enjoy the present by chasing your own version of "nirvana." Ending: Those that we're remembering are beloved friends and family in the past few months - R.I.P! Whether you’re a long-time sailor or sitting at home dreaming of the day you can finally cast off the lines—this one is for you. Clear skies and smooth sailing, Rodney & Cyndi ⛵✨ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 👉 SUBSCRIBE to follow our journey: https://youtube.com/@SailingIntoNirvana 🎵 Copyrighted music licensed from Lickd.
