J109 Going to Red was in the presence of sailing royalty during the Harbour Race of Cork Week 2024. After rounding the harbour mark off the main city Going to red cross, the two time winner of the famous Fastnet race on a two sail reach across the harbour front. Yay. We are finally setting sail from West Palm Beach to Grand Bahama Island in Northern Bahamas. We managed to get our paper to leave the US stamped at the airport, received our Covid negative test results, applied to the Bahamas Health Visa, got accepted and paid for it. We only have 5 days from the date of testing to get to the Bahamas so that's why we're leaving tonight. The wind is going to be light but hopefully we get a little more. Stay tuned for more #shorts videos and the usual Thursday episodes.
