Shelley's workplace sponsored an event at the Blue Lagoon in the Lago Mar subdivision in Texas City. Wish we had captured some shots of the cute little sailboats and other water sports going on in the center! Complete with a beach area, floating cabanas, and a DJ, it was a fun day for all who came. On our way out, we took a peek at the neighborhood and found lots of cute, new houses that range in price from the 200s to the 500s. As of the summer of 2023, many are still in the construction process. Residents can enjoy the Blue Lagoon all season long. Maybe something for us to consider in a year or two...
The Mubadala SailGP Abu Dhabi was a profitable one for Emirates Great Britain as the team came away with $2,400,000 after winning the grand final and the 2025 season. And while success in SailGP is all about the team, Dylan Fletcher has been at the wheel for the entire season and in a very good position to explain how they did it, so we gave him a call to find out what lay behind their consistent performance and ultimate success.
Windelo has no intention of playing small. It recently announced two larger bluewater catamarans: the Windelo 58 and the Windelo 62. Founded in 2019, the French yard has already carved out a successful market with its eco-conscious, performance-oriented catamarans. ▫️ These new flagships are a bold statement of intent from Windelo. More space, more autonomy, and more performance without the environmental compromise. ▫️ They are continuing itheir design partnership with industry legends Christophe Barreau and Frédéric Neuman and have joined forces with the Stellantis Design Studio. ▫️ The goal? Take down the barriers between inside and out – letting the horizon become part of the living space. ▫️ Performance for the design team is not just about sailing fast. It’s also about sailing more often — being able to move under sail in as little as 3 to 4 knots of wind. ▫️ #eco #yachts #oceans @windelocatamaran
