En plus de travailler sans relâche pour faire avancer son trimaran de 30 mètres le plus rapidement possible, il devra donc bénéficier d’un enchaînement de conditions météo favorables. Al centro dell'isola si trova il Santuario di Santa Maria dell'Isola, un luogo carico di storia e leggenda. A collision can flood the bow without flooding the whole boat. A watertight bulkhead separates that forward compartment from the living space, helping contain the water if the hull is breached.
