We recently navigated the uncharted Kinabatangan River, aka 560 km of wild, winding waterways home to monkeys, elephants and other rare and endangered wildlife. The surface looks calm, but at night, those glowing eyes of giant crocs in the torchlight remind you who really owns this place... very splash had our crew looking twice! 5 giorni fa siamo partiti da Cadice e oggi, circa 600 miglia più a sud, abbiamo visto nuovamente Terra. Un’emozione incredibile! Strano anche riprendere operazioni di routine come ormeggiare (come si fa?) o salutare le altre barche (altre persone?). Bello. Bello! Il lavoro più fruttifero di questo periodo è impegnarci a vivere il momento e lasciar andare il controllo che quotidianamente tentiamo di esercitare sul tempo. Una settimana di mare senza vedere un’anima è ok. Tornare nella civiltà è ok. Non c’è un “preferirei essere da quell’altra parte”. Un ragionamento semplice che semplifica tante cose. Voi come avete passato questi 5 giorni? Vi piacerebbe partecipare a una “traversata condivisa” durante la navigazione in Atlantico?
