One of our NSSC Sailability members, Jazz Turner, crossing the finish line at the end of her epic Project FEAR ("face everything and rise") journey. Jazz is terminally ill with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), and is a full-time wheelchair user. After 28 days sailing around the UK and Ireland single-handed, non-stop and unassisted, Jazz arrived back at Brighton Marina around 13:30 on Monday 30th June 2025. Jazz is raising money for the Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club (NSSC) Sailability fund. Hugh and Suze crossing St. Catherine's Sound on the GA coast on December 01, 2012. Tide was ebbing and wind was incoming from the NE making the crossing a little testy. This is actually quite normal anytime the wind and tides oppose each other in these sounds. At least this time the waves hadn't built up more that a foot or so.
