It is the first storm of the season. Hurricane Agatha in the Pacific crossed Mexico into the Gulf (Now the Atlantic Hurricane region) and turned into Tropical Storm One. Heading right to us. It was weak, but you never know if it will stay that way as it moves over the warm Gulf of Mexico water. Ever ridden out a tropical storm or hurricane in your house or boat? It's a mix of emotions - most of the fleet is behind you, but three yachts are still ahead, and with the finish line fast approaching, there's no time left to catch them. Which means no podium finish this time. It was a 15-mile offshore race from Rogoznica's Marina Frapa to Maslenica, on the island of ?olta, Croatia. As the race unfolded, the wind intensified to over 24 knots, with gusts hitting 32. After two teams lost their gennakers, the race committee issued a safety ban on their further use. #PAPARegatta #PAPARegatta2021 #SailingRace #TheArtOfSailing
