First Storm of the Season

It is the first storm of the season. Hurricane Agatha in the Pacific crossed Mexico into the Gulf (Now the Atlantic Hurricane region) and turned into Tropical Storm One. Heading right to us. It was weak, but you never know if it will stay that way as it moves over the warm Gulf of Mexico water. Ever ridden out a tropical storm or hurricane in your house or boat? Schön, dass du hier bist! Wir, Emely und Tjark, haben uns den Traum vom eigenen Segelboot erfüllt, eine Maxi84, relativ spontan und ohne das ganz große Geld. Das Boot müssen wir noch umtaufen auf den Namen Meera. Wir nehmen dich mit auf unsere Reise von blutigen Anfängern zu hoffentlich passablen Seglern. Bevor wir uns in die Wellen stürzen können, liegt noch ein Berg an Arbeit vor uns. Umbauten, Änderungen und vor allem der Sportbootführerschein müssen erledigt werden.
