Harry bakes his famous gingerbread cookies while on a sail and shares them with his family. They are delicious and warm and he loves baking them! INGREDIENTS 125g butter, softened 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup Golden Syrup 1 egg yolk 2 1/2 cups plain flour 1tbsp Powdered Ginger 1tsp mixed spice 1tsp bicarb of soda METHOD 1. Preheat oven 180 degrees ( 160 fan forced) 2. Cream butter and sugar using electric beater 3. Add egg yolk and golden syrup and mix 4. Add flour , ginger, mixed spice and bicarb and combine 5. Roll into a ball and leave in fridge for 20mins 6. roll out dough between 2 pieces of baking paper 7. cut lots of shapes out using cookie cutters, we use gingerbread men, hearts and a star! 8. Bake in oven for 8-10mins. less if you want soft cookies and longer of you like them hard. 9. Once baked let cool for 10mins on tray then move to cooling rack 10.
