At Orust Sailboat Show with Open Yard / Öppet Varv in Ellös Sweden 26-28 August 2022 there is world premiere for the first Hallberg-Rassy, a 340, with PU teak. This is something new that doesn’t look or feel as anything new, but as a Hallberg-Rassy has always looked like. Hallberg-Rassy now offer EcoDeck, which is a strong, flexible, solvent free, UV-proof polyurethane resin based decking and caprail system. This viscous-elastic composite material has a stylish and warm effect with a seamless and durable finish. PU teak is made of polyurethane, which is more durable and non-skid than a PVC deck. PU teak has been used for years on superyachts. Traditional teak deck and teak caprail are still available as an option. https://www.hallberg-rassy.com/news/news/ecodeck-new-and-at-the-same-time-as-it-always-has-been

25ft Merlin sailing catamaran. Build your own using plans from Woods Designs www.sailingcatamarans.com. The hulls are strip plank cedar. This boat is 20 years old but looks just launched. It has sailed all over British Columbia and been lived on all year (yes including a Canadian winter) I also have dozens of other multihull designs, both power and sail, that you can build. https://www.sandemanyachtcompany.co.uk/yacht/605/JUDITH%20R Restored with passion, skill, and not inconsiderable funds, the Long Island Sound Commuter Yacht JUDITH R is a remarkable exemplar in the history of the #motorboat - both technically and in popular culture - and in her attributed designer John L. Hacker's place beside lifelong friend and client Henry Ford in the story of the successful application of the internal combustion engine. Moreover, typically of all classic yachts, JUDITH R remains a beautiful, tastefully upgraded piece of living, #liveable, usable #history. One imagines halcyon days spent #aboard, #cruising fast or slow, in the footsteps of not just first owner, Paramount Pictures president Barney Balaban - who used her to speedily and elegantly commute from Connecticut home to #manhattan office and named her after his daughter, Judith Rose - but also, one imagines, an impressive roster of stellar guests.
