We at Lyman-Morse have been through the infusion process many times, but never like this. We recently infused this giant 80’ x 32’ piece — just the first half of the eventual 3000 square foot glass and carbon laminated canopy that will cover the subway entrance at the new urban center that is Kendall Square in Cambridge, MA. The engineered canopy made of glass and carbon fiber laminates and designed by Perkins + Will architects of Boston and NADAAA, embodies the innovative spirit of the project and adds to the uniqueness of the pedestrian streetscape. Too big to be trucked overland, the canopy will be loaded onto a barge and shipped to its location. Video by Alison Langley. Built by Lyman-Morse.
March 14th...giornata della matematica, Pi Greco day.
