Fidelis is a boat with a stellar and sound provenance. Her story is well documented through several books and many articles. Her sparkling race record began in New Zealand, and then as the line honours winner of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race in 1966. The race winning performance continues to this day with harbour sailing, another five completed S2H races, many trips to Lord Howe Island, and races to the Solomon Islands, Tasmania, Queensland and NZ. Although her race record is important she is a very stable and safe ocean sailing yacht. She remains a "Greyhound" but is equally at home in cruising mode and is an easily handled vessel!

Rain storms on the oceans/seas can be challenging, but this one came with a complimentary shower and filled our fresh water containers! Temperatures were warm enough in the Bahamas to enjoy these downpours @SailingGlacierGem

The awe inspiring Fingal's Cave is a sea cave on the uninhabited island of Staffa, in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. We explore inside on a tender dinghy with Sail Scotland members, Moonshadow Yacht Charters. Scotland offers sailing as it should be… there’s space and freedom. And the choice to do a lot – or do next to nothing – in this spectacular setting. It’s uncrowded and unspoilt, and life here moves at a different pace. People come specially to see basking sharks, puffins, seals, dolphins and eagles. They sail. They walk along beaches and coastal paths, explore local history and photograph their surrounds. They eat fresh seafood at stylish cafes and vibrant marinas. They enjoy the friendly traditional pubs. They browse shops in bustling coastal towns and villages. They picnic on beaches that are near-deserted, even in the height of summer. Or just sit and watch the tides, the sunsets and the stars. This crane driver had nerves of steel. Parked car, no problem, just drive over it. A very skilful operator.
