We love visiting the Farmers Market at Fernandina Beach. This is our second time and we weren’t disappointed. We were able to pick up some great produce as well as some amazing fresh salsa and guacamole (which we scarfed down yesterday afternoon). The weather has been gorgeous, so after the market we walked around for a few hours and enjoyed the day. Quando si vivono esperienze così piene e immersive il tempo sembra scorrere a un ritmo diverso. Non più veloce, non più lento, solo diverso. Le giornate sembrano sovrapporsi l’una all’altra, i momenti si fondono per creare una singola immagine riassuntiva del viaggio. Così come gli altri due giorni abbiamo navigato, per lo più a motore, controvento e controcorrente, per altre 130 miglia. L’unico vero cambiamento è stato veder scorrere territorio americano alla nostra sinistra, mentre costeggiavamo Porto Rico. Fino al tramonto non è avvenuto niente di significativo. Ma con il buio si svegliano le tenebre che portiamo dentro, e così anche le nostre paure. Temporali notturni e collisioni nella notte sono due tra gli eventi che abbiamo scampato per un soffio. Lo vedremo in modo più approfondito nella parte 2 di questo giorno! A presto C.
