It was the quick thinking of Slingsby who turned the Flying Roo up quickly to avoid a catastrophe. Tom Slingsby said: “I don’t know if they didn’t see us or they didn’t react in time but that was a really close call. The aggressive side of me that wanted to win the race wanted to press on them but then the other part took over and told me to get out of there and keep it clean to protect the asset.”

I numeri sono invidiabili per le monocarena, in base alla motorizzazione, la velocità supera i 50 nodi, e l’autonomia è di 425 miglia (680 litri di carburante, 40 l/h a 25 nodi, 17 ore di navigazione). La coperta ha un design molto accattivante e moderno, con linee semplici ed eleganti. A bordo c’è tutto lo spazio che serve per un fine settimana in pieno comfort, con il bagno più grande della sua categoria, una cabina matrimoniale con armadio e dinette, una cucina completa e tanto spazio prendisole. Aurea 30 cabin è l’unica imbarcazione al mondo di queste dimensioni, ad avere una certificazione in categoria A (quindi senza limiti di navigazione) per 20 persone. Costruzione in infusione sottovuoto, selezione attenta della migliore impiantistica di bordo, e razionalizzazione di ogni aspetto a bordo, rendono le imbarcazioni Aurea una sintesi perfetta in un prodotto di eccellenza. Il cantiere ha presentato la prima imbarcazione durante Il salone di Cannes a settembre 2017 ed è subito stata notata dal grande pubblico, vincendo inaspettatamente il secondo premio come barca più elegante del 2017.
