We just sailed from Chile to Panama. 20 days at sea, no land in sight and these lessons are now burned into my salty brain: 🎧 No in-ear headphones at sea. They mess with your balance and make seasickness worse. Trust me. 🧘♀️ Patience is everything. You can’t rush nature. The wind comes when it comes. 💧 Hydration matters more than you think. Feeling off? Drink water first. 💡 Extra tip: Sleep when you can and respect your watch shifts. You never know when you’ll need that extra energy—especially when a squall hits at 2am. Tell us, what’s one lesson you’ve learned from offshore sailing or long passages? 🌊 Want to feel more confident offshore? Comment “offshore” and we’ll send you our Offshore Sailing Bundle. It’s packed with real-life lessons, provisioning guides, safety checklists, crew tips, and sail setups we actually use. Stay Salty! When winter shows up, the build doesn’t slow down—it just gets… creative. With the cockpit shrink-wrapped, a single zippered doorway as our gateway to the cold, and our diesel heater pushing warm air wherever we need it, we’re keeping this project moving one day at a time. Today’s mission: getting our 600-pound diesel electric hybrid engine lifted just a few inches so we can prep the mounts beneath and lock everything in with fast-setting methacrylate. Working through winter is always an adventure. Do you push through the cold too? Or have a story from your own winter projects? Tell us below.
