We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. We make these videos mostly for family and friends and to create a record of our adventures for ourselves so that we can look back at them later in life, were not in it to make money (way to hard). Spearfishing massive Yellowtail Amberjack in Western Australia. Guess what this one weighed in at? I dove down intending to just get footage of this huge school of massive Samson Fish. But as I got level with the school, I discovered it was only the front part of a larger school. The whole back portion was many more monster Yellowtail Amberjack. I waited for a clean shot, only just missing the brain. But this shot stuck hard and my spear let me use all the leverage I wanted to so I could pull in this massive fish solo without using any floats. . .
