Just minutes into our journey, the first moored sailboat with people on it was a fellow Mark Twain Lake sailor I had met when we first started sailing Galactica. Fortunately, Matt recognized Galactica and called my name. He works at a boatyard on the Calumet and invited me to grab a dock space with electricity!!! It was perfect for us. The brand new Korvet50XLR named Callisto departed from Rotterdam on July 3 for the first leg of her trip to Nassau. Today she will arrive in Brighton from where the journey continues to the Azores. After a refueling stop in Horta the non-stop Atlantic crossing to Bermuda begins. With an average speed of 9 knots the crossing will take under 10 days, depending on sea and weather conditions. Another 4 days of travel takes her from Bermuda to Nassau, her new homeport.
