We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. We make these videos mostly for family and friends and to create a record of our adventures for ourselves so that we can look back at them later in life, were not in it to make money (way to hard). The Cleat Hitch is a simple but effective way to secure your boat to the dock. Many people will argue that you should not use this method (preferring the OXO method) ad it can lock tight under heavy load. The team at bottom up boats agree to disagree with these critics as we firmly believe that there is a time and a place for everything. The clear hitch is neat and does not take up massive around of room on the cleat.
