Vorschoter legt die Vorschot zurecht und meldet: "Ist klar!" Steuermann: "Rhe!". Die Pinne wird weggedrückt (Anluven) Der Steuermann ruft "Über die Segel", sobald das Vorsegel killt. Das Boot dreht durch den Wind. Der Steuermann setzt sich auf die Luvseite und der Vorschoter nimmt die Leeseite ein und holt die Vorschot wieder dicht. Das Wendemanöver ist abgeschlossen.

Gig Harbor Boat Works demonstrates a prototype of a new tandem rowing system that allows two rowers to face each other while rowing! Recently we had a request from a couple who enjoyed rowing and wanted a tandem sliding seat boat... but wanted to be able to see each other while both of them are rowing. That sounds like a tough request, but we enjoy 'imagineering' anything! We built a 16.5 Melonseed rowboat with tandem sliding seats, then incorporated standard aft-facing forward position with a forward-facing aft position. The result? Perfect fore and aft trim, remarkable speed excellent directional control AND the rowers can converse easily!
