CLUB MARINE TV YouTube Channel https://youtu.be/Wej46SSqlsw For some time now Peter Harburg’s Black Jack – the lightest of the super maxis racing to Hobart - has been touted as the one to watch, particularly if the race turns up some lighter air phases, as it frequently does. In this interview, recorded just after Black Jack’s win in the SOLAS Big Boat Challenge, skipper Mark Bradford explains the thinking behind the foil design for the boat, how it’s used and why it needed to be different from the foils aboard Black Jack’s near twin, Wild Oats XI.
With the tank repaired and the rain ceased we went in search of some fresh drinking water. Hiking up hills and rough terrain we find a suitable spring. With the help of some of the village kids, we do multiple trips to carry the water back to the kayak. Undoubtedly overloaded with 70L of water per trip and windy wavy seas, we just make it back to the boat before the kayak is completely under. We have hundreds if not thousands of video clips and when we started going through them to make our first videos for you tube, the rest of the family had a good chuckle as I started nearly every video with 'So here we are'. I have to say I was a bit embarrassed about it as I was so consistent in doing it but I have accepted my new name, mainly as I have no choice....! So this video is a short compilation of some examples. Enjoy.
