Currently located in Greece and registered under the Slovenian flag, this yacht has been imported into the EU in 2019 and represents a refined balance of sailing performance and onboard comfort. Design & Construction With a length of 19.00 meters (62.34 feet) and a beam of 9.10 meters (29.86 feet), the Catana 582 offers impressive interior volume and outstanding stability. The hulls are constructed from GRP with a PVC foam core sandwich, delivering a strong yet lightweight structure optimized for performance cruising and bluewater capability. Performance & Rigging Equipped with twin Yanmar 4JH3-DTE 125 HP diesel engines, each showing fewer than 1,100 hours as of September 2024, the vessel provides reliable propulsion when needed. In future videos I’ll show what kind of trash we’ve been picking up in the ocean. But at the end of the day, as sailors, we are in the nest position to make an impact and reduce our own footprints by picking up plastic that we see in the water. If everyone did that, we’d have a little less plastic in the oceans.
