On November 20th 2024, our team, with the help of Holbæk Gamle Havns Beddinger brought Hawila back on the slipway. VIDEO CREDITS: Morten Løvschall The crew started early that day to put the last pieces of tarp into place, then Hawila's engine started rolling and we took her on her little tour through the fjord over to the Old Harbour of Holbæk, where the slipway is located. There, we were greeted by the fantastic team of the association behind the local slipway, who went straight into action. It took 3 hours to put her back on land but everything worked out great. I set an alarm for the spring tide today. We drew a mark on the pylon. Look at how high the water is on the breakwater. Great day for sailing but we’ve got to go shopping first, before the supermarket’s people limit means we might have to cue. Actually, the communities respect for Covid management measures here is very good, something we appreciate very much. Our location on the pontoon helps keep us safe. 🙂
