Spearfishing massive Yellowtail Amberjack in Western Australia. Guess what this one weighed in at? I dove down intending to just get footage of this huge school of massive Samson Fish. But as I got level with the school, I discovered it was only the front part of a larger school. The whole back portion was many more monster Yellowtail Amberjack. I waited for a clean shot, only just missing the brain. But this shot stuck hard and my spear let me use all the leverage I wanted to so I could pull in this massive fish solo without using any floats. . . This anchor works amazingly well in rock type reefs. Made from Rebar welded together in typical New Zealand type innovation. The chain is tie-wrap clipped to the fluke head. If the anchor gets stuck you just pull hard enough to break the tie-wrap and then the chain pulls the anchor out backwards. #anchor #powerboat #powerboating
