Solinska bay Visited in the Summer 2021 Nice free anchorage open to SE and S. Sand and grass. For safe anchoring, look for sand patches as it will hold better and cause less devastation. Clear water, nice snorkelling.  Pebble beach in the corner and couple of houses on the W side. Mainly quiet except a few day visitors with small crafts. No buoys  Good internet wesailcroatia.com info@wesailcroatia.com We are skipper and hostess (available for hire), promoting sailing style of holidaying in Croatia. If you are a sea gipsy, a real sailor (I mean, sailing, not motoring your way), and like to stay away from main charter routs and marinas … this might be the right place for you. We sail 8 m boat on a tight budget, so we are going to explore and look for all nice places where we can anchor without paying overpriced buoy fields and marinas. Explore local villages, restaurants, look for water and food supply, compare prices and share any information we find useful.

After 19 months of rehabilitation, Matilda the Hawksbill sea turtle has been released back into the waters of the Great Barrier Reef at Green Island, and in a first for our region, has been also been fitted with a satellite tracking device. After making a full recovery from 'floaters disease' under the care of the Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre, the once critically ill turtle was released into the waters of Green Island by CTRC volunteers with the assistance of Great Adventures.
