I help boat owners on their maiden long passage or to help them deliver their boat to a home port. During the passage, I teach, mentor, and provide owners with the skillset and mindset required to become a confident sailing cruiser. The current couple I am helping to sail the boat from Baltimore to Ft Lauderdale. So far, we've made it to Charleston. Our next passage is directly to Fort Lauderdale, but we will stop at Cape Canaveral or St Augustine if conditions are not good. The era of mega-constellations is no longer exclusive to giants like SpaceX and Amazon. Paul 'Rusty' Thomas, a former executive at both companies and now CEO of EnduroSat USA, predicts a future with 100,000 satellites in orbit—a milestone he believes is rapidly approaching. This explosion in satellite deployment is being fueled by advancements in mass-producible payloads and modular satellite platforms like EnduroSat's Frame ESPA-class satellite. The technology to launch, operate, and maintain such a large number of satellites in the Low Earth Orbit (LEO) environment already exists, paving the way for a new wave of innovation in space. This isn't just about the big players anymore; the democratization of space is here. Buckle up.
