You can do it with light following wind, but if wind gets any stronger, you really need to consider doing a maneuver like this where we are going down past the slip, doing a turnaround, and then motoring back up into the wind and then driving the boat into the slip, going into the wind. One afternoon in October while bowhunting in the woods back home, big lazy flakes of snow started falling. The woods were so quiet and tranquil. It is a memory of home that I am very fond of. There’s no snow here on the sailboat. Just some light rain every now and then…almost daily. Winter here is quite different from what I am used to back in Alberta.
