Day 6. I finally feel good again. It’s taken a few days, but today I woke up feeling like myself. And it shows. The whole mood is different. Everything feels lighter, easier, more positive. We used the day to prepare for the front that’s coming. Gabi cooked, so we now have food ready. We cleaned up the boat a bit, got things in place, just making sure we’re set before the weather changes. I also spent some time working on the SSB radio and finally got it to work. It still needs a bit of fine tuning, but that’s a big step forward. The winds have been very light today, so we haven’t been moving much. But honestly, it’s been nice. A calm day to reset, get organized, and just breathe a little. This powercat, offered by New Zealand manufacturer Voodoo Yachts and unveiled at the recent Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, features a carefully optimized hull and foils that allow it to reach speeds of up to 50 knots. In addition to this impressive speed for a 75-foot vessel, the Voodoo boasts fuel consumption well below that of an 85- to 90-foot monohull superyacht offering the same features: the usable area measures some 3,000 square feet (279 m²)... By limiting its speed to 8 knots, the XF75 is capable of ocean passage-making.
