Join us in a travel adventure as we explore the history of Trinidad's abandoned tracking station, a relic of the Cold War era. This Caribbean island is home to an decommissioned US military facility, filled with crumbling structures and remnants of a bygone era. From the remnants of the giant radar dish to the eerie silence of the abandoned rooms, every step reveals a piece of history that's been left to decay.
An overview of the innovative features within the suite of accessibility solutions that Thales has developed for inflight entertainment (IFE). At Thales, we develop solutions to make the inflight journey more connected, engaging, inspiring, accessible and enjoyable for all. For visually impaired passengers, navigating the IFE screens can be a significant challenge. With this accessibility advancement flying now on two leading global airlines, low vision or blind passengers will now have equitable access to the same amenities and services. The video shows Thales's accessibility UI features with a familiar structure & flow, with first-in-industry intuitive gesture controls mirroring how individuals with vision impairment control their own devices. For hard of hearing or deaf passengers, Thales is introducing the first in industry Signing Avatar that can sign in multiple languages and is fully customizable. The avatar signs in complement to Closed Captions and provides assistance for cabin notifications and video on demand translations. During the APEX/IFSA Awards in 2024, Thales was recognized by the Crystal Cabin Award (CCA) Association for Best Customer Journey Experience on behalf of our suite of IFE accessibility solutions.
